As a parent of a student at The Helix School in San Rafael, she has a deep appreciation for the school’s relationship-based, interdisciplinary approach, one that honors each learner’s developmental level, sensory needs, and individual passions.
Her journey with The Helix School has given her firsthand insight into how a balanced, integrated, and motivation-driven educational model can transform outcomes for individuals on the autistic spectrum. Now, as an advisor for adult continuous education, Serena brings both her personal perspective and her professional strengths to help extend that mission beyond childhood.
