About THAA
The Helix Adult Academy (THAA) was founded to bridge the gap that begins when traditional school services end. Too often, autistic and other neurodivergent young adults lose access to the structure, learning, and community they had during their school years. THAA exists to change that.
Building on the success and values of The Helix School, The Helix Adult Academy offers lifelong learning opportunities designed for adults who exited school district services by earning a high school diploma or certificate of completion. Our programs focus on five key areas:
-
Lifelong learning,
-
Vocational readiness,
-
Entrepreneurial development,
-
Leisure and social engagement, and
-
Independent living.
At THAA, participants continue to grow their skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive environment. Through small-group learning, real-world experiences, and partnerships with local organizations, we help adults discover their strengths and find meaningful ways to participate in their communities.
Our mission is simple but essential: to create a future where neurodivergent adults lead fulfilling, connected, and self-directed lives.

The Helix Adult Academy Mission Statement
To support neurodivergent adults in leading purposeful, independent, and connected lives through lifelong learning, workforce readiness, and community-based opportunities.
